Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has an interesting economy. For the majority of the story, you have enough to get by but rarely do you have enough to outfit your party with all the best gear and weapons money can buy.

Need help tracking these pesky customers' needs in LaD: IW?
The game strikes an important balance with money. All the best weapons are openly available for purchase because of the open-world structure, but you would have to put in countless hours to earn them before the game wants you to. While Infinite Wealth will not give away the big bucks easily, there are ways to make sure Ichiban Kasuga's wallet is more full than usual by following some of the steps below.
8 Grinding In Dungeons
- Hawaiian Haunt is available in Chapter 5.
- Yokohama Underground is available in Chapter 10.
The Hawaiian Haunt and the Yokohama Underground are introduced in Chapters 5 and 10, respectively. They are optional dungeons where you progress through different floors, battling it out with enemies and collecting resources. This is a great way to grind for some cash while training to become stronger.

Making money here is as simple as putting on a podcast and bashing away at enemies. The game also has a suggestion of what level you should be at before going through a certain part of the dungeon, so you can make sure you are prepared.
The Big Swell and Millenium Tower are also post-game dungeons that similarly net you big bucks and a lot of experience points. Unfortunately, these are only available as a part of the Master Vacation DLC.
7 Dondoko Island
- Becomes available in Chapter 6.
- It is time-consuming but it makes a lot of money once you have a 5-star resort.
In Chapter 6 you are brought to Dondoko Island against your will. Once you finish the obligatory section of it, you can choose to build it up to becoming a 5-star resort. This quest takes a while, but you earn money along the way as you upgrade from a 0-star rating to becoming the best there is.

You can also convert Dokobucks into dollars to give you a little more to spend outside of the side quest. If you follow through with it you can earn big bucks and buy high-level equipment relatively early, but it is a time commitment.
$10 (1,000 yen) | 1,000 Dokobucks |
---|---|
100 (10,000 yen) | 10,000 Dokobucks |
As you progress through the game and do more substories, you find more people to bring to the resort, so don't feel the pressure to bring it up to a 5-star rating right away.
Once you bring your resort up a 3-star level, you unlock the farm where you can put Sujimon to work on various projects that generate resources for the island as well as Dokobucks, allowing you to generate a passive income

6 Grinding Crazy Delivery
- Becomes available in Chapter 4.
- Good for saving money early in the game.
Crazy Delivery is one of the most entertaining side quests, even if it only has four stages. You have to do it at least once in the fourth chapter as a way to earn some money. If you master it, you can grind the hardest level for however long you need and then trade the points you earn for dollars.
$1 | 200 Points |
---|---|
$5 | 1,000 Points |
$10 | 2,000 Points |
Our in-depth guide on Crazy Delivery will help you get an S-Rank on every stage and earn the most points
There are four Deliverist Ranks: Green, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Each rank increases the amount of points you earn. It's not a lot of money later in the game, but for where you are in Chapter 4, it's more than enough to buy what you need and stock up on healing items.

If Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth's Ichiban Kasuga has one thing in abundance, it is personality. We'll show you how to level it up even further!
5 Wait Until Chapter 8
- A difficulty spike gives you more money.
Up until Chapter 8, the game is doing everything it advertised itself to be. Once you hit this part in the story, there is a major shift in the structure along with a big difficulty bump. Now, many areas have overpowered enemies and you are a few levels behind (assuming you didn't grind too hard already).
The plus here is that now you start earning a lot more money from regular battles and can start to afford more expensive items. You'll want to level up a few times here anyway, so it is a great opportunity to stock up on cash.

From Chapter 8 onward, you alternate between two different parties in between chapters. You do not need to buy separate equipment for each team and can switch equipment between parties at any time.
4 Selling Items At Pawn Shops
- Some items are collected only to be sold.
- Grenades and other offensive items can be sold.
- There is a pawn show in the Anaconda Shopping Center.

You collect junk throughout the game that has no purpose other than to be sold. Additionally, you acquire some battle items that can be useful to so in combat but also can be sold for some profit.
If your party is strong enough, they can go through the story without having to rely on grenades or rocket launchers, so you can sell these battle items to pawn shops if you are confident enough. Some substories also give you items that you can sell and you can get rid of inferior versions of accessories as you come across stronger ones.
Early in the game, you are introduced to the treasure hunt ability. Walk up to yellow circles by vending machines and cars to pick up random trinkets to sell at pawn shops. Some of the items are worth very little, but it adds up if you make a habit of it.
3 Fight The Keepers Of The City

- Enemies with crowns over their heads.
- Enemies with blue icons are weak, red icons are around your level, and purple icons are too powerful.
Throughout the map are special enemies who are hanging around certain spots. These foes with crowns over their heads are called Keepers of the City. They are harder than the average foe and often are surrounded by other henchmen. These battles can be hard, but they also net a lot of money for the party.
As long as their icon is red you should have no trouble taking them on. Don't get too ambitious, though, since fighting overpowered enemies is dangerous, and losing costs you cold hard cash.
This is also a solid way to level up quickly. If you want to know more ways to level up quickly, read our guide on that here.

- Nouveau Riche Crown is dropped by some keepers of the city.
- Both can be combined and stacked.
At the shrine in Hawaii on the northeast corner of the map is a fortune exchange shop run by Kamulop. You can get various items here in exchange for the fortunes you find around the map. You have to buy the available items first and then the Lucky Money Charm is purchaseable for 15 fortune points.
You have to spend 40 points in all. The Noveau Riche Crown is an accessory dropped by some of the Keepers of The City (enemies with the crowns on their heads. When combined, you get a 1.3 times multiplayer to money earned.

1 Sujimon
- Introduced in Chapter 4.
- Battles earn you money.
Sujimon is a silly parody of Pokemon, but it's also a great way to easily earn some money. The RPG mechanics are simple and it's fairly easy to move up in the ranks. As you take on trainers and win battles, you will be given cash rewards.
With the battle system so easy to understand and use, it's a breeze to rise through the ranks and complete this side quest. You also get a new job out of it. It does eat up a lot of time, but for some that is a plus.
